Luppino-Van Patten Media co-founders Chris Van Patten and Stephen Luppino announced the dissolution of their partnership on 10 April 2008. Luppino-Van Patten Media, founded in 2007, was created with the intention of providing comprehensive media services to consumer and professional markets in Central New York, including website design, video montage production, and similar services. Existing clients will be transferred to the newly formed Vaveo Interactive, a new local digital marketing and presence firm run by former Luppino-Van Patten Media partner Chris Van Patten.

“This is an exciting shift in focus for us,” said Chris Van Patten. “Previously, our focus had been more broad, with the intent of attracting consumer and business customers with a more broad variety of services. The new slate of services at Vaveo Interactive is more focused toward our business clients, with the intent of helping them build dynamic conversations with their customers.”

This idea of helping build conversations with customers comes from the new business ideal encompassed under the “Web 2.0″ moniker, which promotes increased communication between businesses and consumers in order to strengthen brands and increase sales.
